| Solid Modeling ability provides state
of the art design capabilities for faster, more accurate, depictions
of fan designs. This allows for a detailed review and analysis of
fan assemblies and parts prior to actual fabrication. Models generated
using 3-D elements can be linked to Finite Element Analysis packages
to perform various engineering tasks. |

Finite Element Analysis programs are
used for impeller stress level evaluation, fatigue analysis, and
modal/vibration prediction. FEA analysis studies allow for the selection
of optimum material types, gages, joining methods, and construction
features. Strain gage testing is used to back up stress level calculations. |
| A vacuum test chamber is used for verification of wheel
failure predictions. FEA modal analysis permits the engineer to view
the vibrational mode shapes, and readily solve potential problems.
Modal predictions are verified with FFT (Fast Fourier Transform)
analyzer and impact hammer. |
